This is a traditional block made modern. The original version (from the 1850s) was made with diamonds and used partial (Y) seams. This modern version has been simplified to eliminate the partial seams while keeping the beauty of the original. No Y seams! Works up quickly and makes a lovely topper or wall hanging!
Supplies need for this quilt are basic rotary cutting, sewing, and quilting supplies. A 12 ½ inch square quilter’s ruler is very useful for this design.
